Last week I showed you how I would style an Abundance altar here. I want to continue to discuss little ways that I am creating space for myself amidst the chaos of our modern world. In 2018, my goal is to take a deep dive into creating a solid self care practice and to share my findings with you.

This week let's chat about a hot topic over the last few years: minimalism.
For a long time when I thought of minimalism, I would get this futuristic, sparse image in my brain. I wanted to have less, need less, clean less, have a smaller burden, but I am by nature a collector. It comes with the territory of being a maker and an appreciator of art and handmade goods, I think. It wasn't until recently that I realized that minimalism looks different on everyone and that it's more about your state of mind.
The photo above is a shot of my new studio space with @saintsomething. I think it really embraces the vibe of less is more. I'm really enjoying this space right now because of its openness and abundance of light. I'm looking forward to continuing to share how we tackle the constant challenge of maintaining a minimal work space.
